Sometimes significant events sneak up on us and pass us by without us noticing.
One such event is that six articles ago I reached the 100th article since starting to write about the Workplace Revival. The first article was on the 28th of September 2015, about Mankind’s purpose to work and take care.
Since then I had the amazing privilege of preaching about the Workplace Revival at the church we attended in Xiamen. At some stage I stopped trying to get things uploaded on to the blog because it was too cumbersome and slow - but the emails kept going out pretty consistently. The latest ones can be found here https://theworkplacerevival.weebly.com/blog
When I started this series, I felt God saying that I was to write 100 articles, and then we would see where we go next. It seems it took me six weeks to notice that in the rhythm of things that milestone just swooshed past!
So I know the season of writing articles about the Workplace Revival is now over. What is next?
One of the ideas that’s been in my mind since then is to convert a selection of the most significant articles into a book, as I did previously with the series of blog posts that focused on finding one’s purpose and calling in life. (You can find the book here on Amazon: “If you lose yourself: Do you know where to go looking for you?”)
In the next few weeks I will be meeting with the leadership of the church we have joined since moving back to South Africa, to discuss the possibility of launching a ministry we will probably call “Life Work.” The church is called “Life Church” and they already have a ministry that cares for children in several countries called “Life Child,” and I believe God is saying that it is time for their next season to also integrate with my next season, in the form of Life Work which will be based on the principles of the Workplace Revival I’d been writing about.
Moving forward, the time I’ve been spending in writing, emailing and publishing these articles, is going to be redirected possibly into writing the above mentioned book, and if we get agreement to move forward with the Life Work project, I am sure that will also take a bite out of my available time.
I might still write an article from time to time, and I will keep you updated on what is happening with where I believe God is taking me next in terms of the Workplace Revival.
Thanks for all the encouragement many of you have given me along the way.
My name is Ashton Fourie.
